Located in the Turkish city of Erzurum, Ataturk University was first established in 1957. Today, around 90,000 students are educated here across 23 academic faculties. Notably, the university has overseas partnerships with the University of Nebraska in the United States, and the Balkan Universities Network. The university is also well-known for having one of the largest teaching hospitals in Turkey, with students under 25 granted free medical care. The university also participates in the EU Erasmus scheme which welcomes international students to study there.
