D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) was founded in 1958. D. Serikbayev EKTU is the leading regional university. In 2013 it was on the 7th place among the technical universities of Kazakhstan. Yearly ten bachelor’s programs won the first places in the national ranking of educational programs. EKTU is a full member of the International Association of the universities. In June, 2014, 20 educational programs were accredited for 5 years at the meeting of Accreditation Council of Independent Kazakhstan Agency on Quality Assurance in Education (IKAQAE). The University offers educational programs for the Bachelor, Master and Doctor degrees in areas: Arts & Humanities; Engineering & IT; Natural Sciences; Social Sciences. Same educational programs Ba and Ma passed specialized accreditation and were certified by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE). These programs were awarded the "European quality label» (EUR-ACE ® Label).
