The European University of Lefke (EUL) is a non-profit state university in Northern Cyprus. It was founded in 1989 by the Cyprus Science Foundation and officially opened its campus in 1990. Guided by the philosophy that “science and education are universal in our age,” EUL offers a broad range of contemporary educational programs and is committed to maintaining international standards of excellence. All degree programs are accredited and recognized by the Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) and the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council of North Cyprus (YÖDAK). EUL is a leading educational institution in Northern Cyprus, with over 10,000 students from 77 countries across five continents. The University offers 80 associate and undergraduate degree programs and 59 postgraduate and doctoral degree programs through 12 faculties, 7 schools and 1 institute. EUL students receive internationally recognized education, along with the knowledge, expertise, and life skills needed to build successful careers. Many of EUL’s programs have been accredited by respected international accreditation bodies, including the Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes of Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN), the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), the Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs (AQAS), The Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK), the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (EPDAD), the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of University Programs in Mathematical, Natural, and Social Sciences (FEDEK), and the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Sciences Programs (SABAK). Additionally, EUL is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the International Association of Universities (IAU), the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), the ASIIN Global University Network of Excellence (AGUNE), and the American Council on Education (ACE). The University is also a signatory to the Magna Charta Universitatum.
