Far EasternFederal University is the only classical university in Eastern Russia. Itincorporates schools with generations-old traditions and areas of research thatform the core of our intellectual base.

Over 120 years ofits history, Far Eastern Federal University has remained today the mainrepresentative of Russian higher education in the Asia-Pacific region, the onlyRussian university that is a member of the Association of Pacific RimUniversities, the first Russian university with a unique infrastructure in asingle, modern campus, and the first Russian university that opened a school specializingin Data Economy.

Situated on theedge of both Europe and Asia, the University follows the most important trends.Accordingly, 2.4 billion rubles has been allocated for FEFU’s R&D projectswhich are conducted in 368 hi-tech laboratories, 20 research and education centers,22 medical and science research units. The research and development projectsare focused in the spheres that are of great global importance. Our projects inoceanography, underwater robotic engineering, and eco-friendly architecture,among others, have gained international recognition.

FEFU cooperateswith over 280 international partners from 43 countries around the world includingthe United Nations, UNESCO, G20, BRICS, ASEAN, ASEM, APEC, APRU. Far EasternFederal University succeeded in attracting international partners who areactively engaged in joint projects, research, and encourages academic mobility.

Currently, FEFUhas 4 overseas offices in China, Japan, Vietnam, and India to strengthen itsinternational ties.

where over 20.000students, including 3.500 international students are taught by the best Russianinstructors and experts and over 160 foreign professors, who give lectures inmore than 300 degree programs, 30 of which are conducted in English.
