About

Griffith University is a world-class, values-led university. Our teaching and research prioritise innovation and social impact, reflecting our belief that everyone deserves a chance to make a difference—for themselves and others.

Ranking in the top 2% of universities worldwide, Griffith consistently appears in the top 300 of leading global indices including the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and Impact Rankings, QS University Rankings and more.

Griffith University was created to be a different kind of university – challenging conventions, responding to trends and pioneering solutions through innovative teaching and research. Our high quality degrees are specifically designed to prepare students for the future, and are developed in consultation with industry, based on cutting-edge research, and taught by Australia’s most awarded teachers.

We host 50,000 students across four campuses in South East Queensland, spanning three major cities (Gold Coast, Logan and Brisbane). Students choose Queensland not only for the quality education, but for its superb subtropical climate, welcoming environment and mixture of natural wonders and vibrant city life.

We offer an exciting and generous range of scholarships to support international students coming to study in our undergraduate, postgraduate, research and pathway programs. Our scholarships recognise remarkable students with outstanding academic achievements and the potential to make a positive contribution to Griffith and our community.

At Griffith University you will have access to our diverse range of student support initiatives, including programs and staff dedicated specifically to helping international students. We provide students with first-class support during their Griffith experience, from arrival through to graduation and beyond.

Griffith is home to the Griffith Mates – a diverse peer-support network for international students, with members who speak over 30 languages. The Mates run welcome events, Orientation, host trips and tours around Queensland, and organise other events throughout the year.
