KU has partnerships with 154 institutions in 34 countries and regions, and has approximately 300 international students.

KU aims to contribute to the development of the society and the community with a spirit of self-sufficiency and enterprise, based on the geographical characteristics of Kagoshima as a part of the Asia-Pacific and according to the principles of academic freedom and diversity. KU endeavors to produce graduates possessing high moral principles and a social nature and individuals who aspire to overcome challenges and work actively for the global society.
