About

King Faisal University was founded in 1975 (1395H) by royal decree with main campus in the city of Hofuf in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. The university was inaugurated by the late King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz. KFU is one of the oldest and admirable higher education and research public university in the nation. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, research centers, e-Learning and distance education. Covering a large genre of important specialties, KFU offers a total of 86 academic programs. 59 of these programs are undergraduate and 27 are graduate programs. Graduates of such programs earn degrees ranging from higher diploma to master degree. Students: KFU hosts a student population of 21870 in its undergraduate level main stream programs. 7011(32%) students are males and 14859(68%) are females. In addition, 42000 students (males and females) are enrolled in distance and e-learning education programs. Together the total figure of undergraduate student enrollment at KFU is 32870.
