History
Princess Sumaya University for Technology– PSUT in Amman, Jordan is a private, not-for-profit University; established in 1991. Part of El Hassan Science City - Amman, Jordan which also includes The Royal Scientific Society; the foremost, applied research center in Jordan.
Mission
To serve society as a center of higher learning, transmitting advanced knowledge, discovering new knowledge and providing innovative activities that are consistent with the advances in industrial revolution, digitalization, technological trends, and societal concerns.
Structure
Apart from academic programs and schools, see undergraduate and graduate programs in separate sections, the university has Deanships, Support Units and Centers for all its teaching, research and service operations, including: Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Deanship of Student Affairs, Deanship of Student Admissions and Registration, The El Hassan Library, International Relations Unit, Quality Assurance and Accreditation Centre, and Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship.
Points of Strength
International Accreditation
PSUT obtained ABET accreditation for all its Engineering programs and the computer science program, EurACE accreditation for the software engineering
program, and AACSB accreditation for all Business programs. Additionally CIM for the E-marketing program and IMA for the accounting program , HRCI for the Business administration program, the ACCA for the accounting program
Collaboration
Student exchange and joint programs with international schools including with: The Council of International Education Exchange (CIEE). Joint-degree Masters in MIS with Hasselt University, Belgium. Joint-degree Masters in European Studies with HHU Düsseldorf, Germany. Micro-campus and joint graduate programs with the University of Arizona-Tucson, USADual degree/Joint programs with Indiana, Bloomington; Oakland, Michigan – Dearborn and also with Colorado State University. Over 40 EU projects in 15 EU states with PSUT as the lead grand holder in 5 projects. Over 30 International collaborations with schools and organizations in 15 countries in Europe, North America and Asia.
