Qassim University

Qassim University(QU) is one of the government universities in Saudi Arabia. The university was established in 2004 and has 16 colleges. The number of its faculty members is about 2800, along with about 3000 employees serving its over 26,000 male and female students. Currently, QU is the first university in Saudi Arabia that have got the 5 stars plus in the QS rating.The QU main campus is located at 7.8 million square meters in the center of the Qassim region, near Prince Naif Airport, and in an intermediate area between its cities and governorates. QU vision is to become a nationally distinguished institution of higher education, supporting sustainable development in the Qassim Region, and helping to advance knowledge based society. However, its mission is to provide high quality, accredited education, produce competent graduates who meet the needs of the labour market, conduct applied research and offer quality community services to develop Qassim Region and to contribute to the building of a knowledge based economy. All goals will be achieved by using the most advanced technology and information technology and information processing, fostering national and international partnerships, and boosting the university's resources.

Qassim University (QU) appeared in theQS World University Rankingsfor the first time in 2011. According to the QS report, it has shown excellent potential for strengthening its position by harnessing its core strengths in teaching and research. QU has published Research papers with institutions ranked in the top 100 of the 2011 rankings. QU has also shown initiative in arranging International Seminars in order to develop relations with global academic peers.
