The University of León (Unileon)is a public higher education and research institution founded as an autonomous entity in 1979. It is based on two campuses, in León and Ponferrada. The total number of students is currently 14,000, of which around 1,000 are international students from more than 50 countries. It offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees adapted to the European Higher Education Area in all branches of knowledge. External quality agencies continuously examine all the degrees, systematically obtaining a positive evaluation and prestigious international accreditations.
