The University of Palermo is situated in the city of Palermo – the capital city of Sicily which is located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.
The southernmost region of Italy boasts seven world heritage sites: the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, the Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina, the stunning Aeolian Islands, the late-baroque cities of the Val di Noto, Syracuse and Pantalica, the Mount Etna volcano and the latest gem added was the Arab-Norman itinerary of Palermo, Monreale and Cefalù.
The main language of teaching at the University of Palermo is Italian, but there are a number of wholly or partly English-taught programs including (but not limited to), BSc (Honours) Nursing, BSc (Honours) Management Engineering, MS Business & Economic Sciences, MS Mediterranean Food Science and Technology, MS Neurosciences, MS Cooperation, Development and Migrations. MS Transnational German Studies is taught wholly in German.
